Athlete’s dreams and goals are centered around reaching milestone moments! We all crave reaching milestones within our lives and as a former athlete one of my milestones that desired was getting a scholarship. An achievement that would allow me to compete at the highest level and fulfill a long-term dream of becoming a Division 1 All-American!
I laid in bed every night dreaming of when my signing day would happen. Crowds of people around me, filled with family and friends to witness my accomplishment.
The moment that so many young athletes dream about but like many of you I had so many questions about how to make that dream come true.
I was the type of athlete that always put enormous pressure on myself. I felt like I had a certain identity to live up to. My sport was my identity in high school, so when I came up short multiple times in the during state competitions I was heartbroken…
Even beginning to wonder if college athletics was for me…
I had been confused because one thing that was true was that I worked my butt off. No coach would disagree with that statement, but why was I still falling short of my goal to be a high school state champion?
Do Your Kids Crave This
I began to uncover this deep inner struggle. It was a battle that I kept suppressing and pushing down deeper and deeper…
I was living in Fear…
- -Fear of being judged
- -Stressed of living up to everyone else standards
- -Worried of being accepted
And worst of all living with no confidence in myself!
I was trying to find all different ways to build that strong mindset and belief in myself…
I was hiring sports training coaches outside of school.
Went to extra practices.
Hired a Personal Trainer
And tried sitting down with coaches to ask “Why can’t I win in The Big Moments”…
This is a model that is failing so many young athletes still today.
This model is driven strictly by performance. It’s no wonder so many athletes are seeking out sports psychologists today…
But what if there was a new way. A way that would transform your child without having to hire multiple coaches?
The Journey
I was now on a mission…
As soon as my college athletic career ended, I knew I had to start digging, researching and analyzing to help keep young athletes from struggling.
Struggling to achieve their dreams but even worse struggling internally with stress and anxiety.
That same stress and anxiety that plagued me and led me into a depression during my college career…
And the statistics are showing the same thing as the majority of college students are battling these same inner struggles.
The current sports performance model is failing your child. Today, we live during a time when sports are loved more than ever before, you know what’s loved more than sports…
PERFORMANCE. Aka what have you done for me lately!
Most parents are sold on all the fancy equipment gyms have…
The new gadgets they bought…
Or how pretty it looks inside…
But there is something much greater at stake! Literally young adults’ lives are at stake…
Unfortunately, 5x-8x as many high school and college kids meet the major criteria for depression and/or anxiety…
Even worse kids are seeing suicide as a potential solution to their problems more than ever before.
While suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the US!

The New Opportunity
The missing piece of the puzzle to helping kids achieve all their athletic goals and build supreme confidence to achieve goals after sports was a Mentor…
This was their own personal guide or advisor. It’s someone that empowers them to see the unlimited superpowers they already have sitting inside them.
A mentor is not someone that is there to “motivate” them. As it was described to me “Motivation is like a bath, you need one everyday”…
Empowerment is showing them they already have the ability inside them, they just need to be pointed towards which doors to open up.
When I started with my own mentor, Deberah Bringelson, it was the most eye-opening experience I ever had…
I often describe her, kinda like having an academic advisor in college. You go to your advisor to tell them what major you want to graduate with and they show exactly which classes you need to take and in which order to graduate at your desired time.
This was the answer. Kids were seeking this type of personal relationship with a mentor/guide/advisor to show them the pathway…
It’s NOT doing it for them. It’s showing them they have everything they need to achieve their goals inside them and then laying out the exact process to achieve their goals!
But today’s coaches and gyms do not know how to create these relationships and focus on anything but their physical goals…
There is now a new vehicle to use…
The BluePrint:
This is what led me to create “The Iceberg System” The Four-Step System for Achieving Your Athletic Success and Empowering You To Crush Any Goal!
The four step system is:
1. High Performance Training
2. Investing in You and Your Future
3. Creating Mindset and Confidence
4. Growing Your Identity
These frameworks completely changed my life. Creating drastic results in both my personal and professional life!
It helped me reduce the stress and anxiety in my life. It taught me how to seek massive goals and not only seek them but accomplish them. Within months I grew my business by almost 100%.
It taught me how to have confidence in myself. As a former athlete I was lost because my athletic career was all I had. Lacking any other type of identity, but really, I was this powerful human being with unlimited potential.
Creating meaningful relationships and led to me finding my now fiancee. I would not have been able to find these types of relationships without loving me for who I was first!
Now I know you might be thinking, that’s all cool and great and works for you, your life and your business but my child is a preteen or teenager…
It has worked for hundreds of athletes across all sports like Nick Smith, Alec Shunnarah and the list goes on…
The Greatest Change On Earth: Athlete’s Dream
When I was a young athlete again I had so many success goals and dreams that I was unable to accomplish. Not because I was lazy, not coachable or unwilling to put the time and energy in. It was actually the exact opposite…
Because I caught myself making the same mistakes in my professional career, until I discovered these frameworks. I was able to build a 6 figure business out of my parents garage shortly after graduating college…
But the real results came from my own personal transformation. I literally became a new person with a new identity and new personality…
Confident and saw myself and valuable and worthy…
Stopped living in fear of what others like my friends or family would think of me…
Understood that I deserve to have anything my heart desires…
My belief system I previously had about life was shifted. When I saw and felt this transformation I knew that I had to begin sharing it with everyone…
My love and fulfillment is now witnessing young athletes achieve goals and dreams they were scared just to write down on paper because of fear of what others might think of them.
It was exhilarating to watch them become empowered about what type of superpowers they have…
They began walking taller, more energetic and a new love for life and sports!
